FAFSA Help
Financial Aid Information Brought to You by Grantford
The FAFSA is one of the main applications college students complete every year to receive financial aid. The FAFSA application can be completed online or by paper. Whether or not you are a first year student, have siblings who have already completed the application process or entering your senior year, fact is, you still may need help with your FAFSA application.
When you log in online to begin or complete your FAFSA, you may find you need help with understanding certain terminology or filling out your financial information. The FAFSA help section is categorized in the following manner to help you:
Each of the above categories has subcategories that break down into more specific questions or concerns you may have. For example, first time students may have no idea where to begin in completing the FAFSA. If so, a student may ask the question, “What do I need to complete the FAFSA?” Well, if you click on the category “Getting Started/Before You Apply”, you will find, it breaks into subcategories. One of the subcategories is “What documents do I need to fill out the FAFSA?” The student will then click this question, and an answer will pop up with all the necessary materials you need to complete your FAFSA.
Also, for example, you may want to know what your federal student aid pin is or it’s purpose. Just click on “The Federal Student Aid PIN” category and you will find several subcategories that should answer your question.
You can go to the FAFSA site yourself and try asking questions. Click on a category to see if your answer is there. To access your online FAFSA application, visit http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/index.htm.
